Cookies, Milk, Cartoons & Chocolate Sundays

Dad, Dad, can we have cookies and milk and watch a cartoon? Oh come on dad, please? Fifteen minutes later, Dad, Dad, can I have ice cream and watch some more cartoons? Oh, please Dad. Ten minutes later, Dad, Dad, can I have some smarties? Please, please! please! dad!

Have you ever been there? If you have children, I bet you have. It's like where do they put it all? How is it possible to eat and eat and eat and still be skinny. Kid's eat and eat and eat. They also play, and play and play and run, and jump and play and run some more. I'm getting tired just thinking about it.

I don't know which is harder. Getting older or being a father. Both are definitely challenging at times. Well, I'm off, we are now having chocolate sundays with cherries (multiple) on top. I guess I should enjoy this, before long she will be asking for a new car.

It's fun to have fun with your kids, especially while they are young and exploring life.

Successful Key's That Open Doors Of Success

The pursuit of success can take on many shapes and forms. Usually a thought comes forth, an idea. Then that thought or idea is put into motion. Very much like planting seeds in the ground. The seeds must be good seeds, the soil must be good soil and the process requires patience for growth.

The key is not quitting after you've cultivated the soil and planted the seeds. If fear of failure sets in and you walk away, the weeds may grow up and destroy your harvest.

Never give up on your dreams, don't change course in mid stream and be careful of people that stick their nose in your river. For they may end up like beavers that create dams and stop the rivers flow.

Mentoring Our Kids

What a blessing children can be. They bring joy to our lives, completion to our lives, and endless precious memories. With all these things comes also the responsibilities of raising our children, mentoring to them and teaching them life and life situations.

One day, each of our children will mature and take on life's daily encounters away from home.
You see, we as parents define their future. We prepare them for what lays ahead.

Truly, this is a great responsibility.
